You Didn’t Fit In

When you were a child, little comments hurt a lot more for you than other kids.

In the classroom and on the playground, you were told to not cry.

Now as an adult you’ve numbed your feelings to fit in with everyone else.

At home, at work, and in line at the grocery store, you wonder, “Is this it?”

The black hole inside of you has grown, and even your once loved passions have become hollow.

Your Family Couldn’t Help

Growing up, your parents grew tense and uncomfortable when you shared how you felt.

They left you to fend for yourself. As a child, the best you could do was push your emotions deep inside.

Now as an adult, family gatherings feel awkward and stilted.

You care about them so much, but the frustration you feel about the empathy they couldn’t give you only grows.

If only your family was the warm, happy kind you saw on TV.

Your Relationship Isn’t Working

A small misunderstanding in a conversation with your partner escalates to shouting in two seconds flat.

Your emotions have shot through the roof and you feel raw and angry.

After you’ve pushed your partner away the regret creeps in.

”How could I have done this to them again?” You wonder.

You put your head in your hands in frustrated agony.

You please everyone except yourself.

Intuitively sensing other people’s emotions, you scramble to meet their needs.

Your evenings are filled with unwanted obligations because you’re terrified of saying, “No.”

You’re exhausted and resentful, but the idea of sharing your boundaries fills you with dread.

To make matters worse, your escape — scrolling through social media — leaves you feeling even worse.

You’d like some answers.

Who am I? You ask yourself. Why am I this way?

No guidance counselor or therapist has given you clarity.

The truth is, you’re a special person with a unique gift.

You have the superpower of heightened empathy.

As with any strength, it takes practice and wisdom to wield it well.

Let’s Get Started

Hi, I’m Dinh.

Dinh Tran, LCSW, MSW

It’s hard to imagine being happier sometimes.

We get fixated on our issues and our flaws.

It takes love and guidance to spring free from our mental prisons.

During my healing journey I tried bio-hacking, self-help books, vigorous exercise, therapy… the list goes on.

What I learned is by loving the parts of me I deemed as “too weak”…

…and by giving them the nurturing they had always needed,

I could escape my depression and embody a happier way of being.

You can do this too.

Let me show you how.

Dinh is a deep listener and brings a calming presence to his work with his patients. He has a passion for helping people develop a deeper understanding of themselves and their unique place in the world. In working with him you will find a warm and perceptive guide to living authentically.

Charlie Sapp, LCSWA

I have had the pleasure of becoming familiar with Dinh’s work and his thinking. I find him to be inquisitive, gentle, thoughtful, wise, mature, and curious, all of which to say – he is a lover of people in all our complexity.

John Tisdale, D. Min.

Dinh provides a warm and welcoming therapeutic space for individuals to work through life stressors and develop increased meaning and purpose. As a therapist he shows unyielding compassion for those he serves, genuinely caring for each individual’s overall well-being.
